WE HAVE A WINNER!
SZAMOCA from Hungary Has Won the "Dashing" Wall Hanging Pattern!
Congratulations!
Stay tuned for Thanksgiving posts coming right up.......
Tis the Season to be Thankful - Deadline for comments is Wednesday, November 27th at 12 Noon PST
I'm thankful for this world and the life we have to live. It's not perfect and we're not perfect (anyway, I'm CERTAINLY not perfect) but we chose to come here to be tested to see if we could make good choices. Every day, I'm struggling to make GOOD CHOICES.
To WIN THE PRIZE, which is the new "DASHING" wall hanging pattern, below,
1. Leave me a message to tell me for what you are thankful, and;
2. Follow me.
I will ship internationally & invite you to comment in your own language. It'll be fun to translate, don't you think?
That's all there is to it. Now, to DASH back to the party page, click here!
I'm a New Follower. I have you on my Blogroll already. Love Sunbonnet Sue sledding away in the snow. Wish I was at teh Retreat with all of you. I think my friend Julie was there at the same time. I didn't see her in the pictures. Thanks for the Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteJoin us next year, Mary. Are you in the Odessa area? It's so much fun. We didn't want to come back! Literally. Thanks for visiting. Our guild meets each Monday night at 7 at the Odessa Museum, north entrance. There's also a group that meets at 1 pm, same day (those who don't want to come out at night, especially in the winter). See you.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was thankful for two little boys but they are pretty noisey. LOL My two little grandsons. They are five and five weeks apart and they are wound for sound. I am thankful for my four grand children. I am blessed that they love to visit. Thanks for a chance to win that great give away.
ReplyDeleteGrandchildren are a real blessing. It's so much fun to watch them grow; to see their moms and dads in them....even, ourselves, in them. Such wonderment. Thank you for coming by. Drop by often and we will chat.
DeleteOh, I miss the horse drawn sleigh rides. The draft horses are long gone as well as the sled and bells, but I am thankful for their memory.
ReplyDeleteI've discovered "Gentle Giants" on RFD TV. I love watching the big horses. Also, I've been following the WagonTeamster on his blog of the same name. Just add the dot com to it. He's been traveling the country behind a team of Belgians with a Percheron as a stand-in. It's a wonderful journey, soon to be continued. I just love horses......and sleigh rides. When I was five, in our little town in Montana, the local dairyman would deliver milk in winter on his hay sled behind two big Belgians. They had bells on and you could hear them coming? There's nothing like that memory, is there? Thank you for visiting. See you again, soon.
DeleteWhat awesome photos of your retreat, oh how I wish I could quilt! I make prim raggedies, at some point you think I would work myself into quilting! I am so thankful that my daughter and son in law bought their first home today, and that soon, in early February, we will welcome our first grandchild into the family. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteIt was very wonderful.Three full days of quilting without any interruptions. No meals to cook, no phones to answer (not even cells). Peaceful, beautiful.....all the trite superlatives. We all need a break. Thank you for coming by and telling me your thankfulnesses. See you again soon, I hope.
DeleteI'm a new follower vie google friends connect.(SOOOO WIsh I was at that retreat!!!)

Hei!
ReplyDeleteJeg er takknemlig for å ha en fantastisk mann, fire flotte barn og to skjønne barnebarn.
Krysser fingrene for at jeg blir den heldige vinner av dette veggteppet!
(Ok, now I have used my own language. I hope you'll understand :-) )
Lovely Norwegian. Aren't words beautiful? Thank you for visiting from so many miles away. We hope you'll come back often. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Jan - Thank you for coming by and taking a look. We try to make hopping easy here. This past October my husband and I went shop hopping: a 541 mile trip! We took our time and spent two nights out in the little communities on the hop. It was lovely! Blog hopping is almost as much fun, minus the gasoline cost! See you.
DeleteKöszönöm a gyerekeimet, a varrós lányokat és a barátaimat... (No, I am not going to tell you which language is this... Have fun translating it...)
ReplyDeleteehodasz at yahoo dot com
Google detected Hungarian. I hope that's correct! It translated your comment as "Thank you, my children, my friends and the girls varrós." It didn't translate the last word, though...... I love languages. Thanks for participating in blog hop! Stop by often and test my translator skills! I can speak a little French: Le livre et sur la table. How about that? Wish I could say something more flowery or abstract.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Tammy!
DeleteThank you or the chance to enter your giveaway. Love the pattern. It is gorgeous. I am most thankful that I am now cancer free and mending each day. And I am also thankful that my husband found another job recently after the government canceled his and his teams civilian contract when the government shut down . Then they did not award it back but went with a cheaper company. But luckily he found a new job. We have so much to be thankful for here.
ReplyDeleteBad government (in so many ways)......the first part of the Constitution tells us what the federal government is supposed to do. It doesn't include shafting citizens but we hear too much of that, lately. It's pretty simple and should tell us how we should vote. These years ahead will require much personal and community strength and resilience. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you can recover physically and financially. God bless you.
DeleteNew follower via email. I am most thankful for my husband. He was with me for all my appointments and every chemo treatment.
ReplyDeleteI hope you keep getting better and better. What a great guy, your husband. God bless you and your family. Stop by often and get some words of encouragement.

DeleteI'm thankful for my husband's continuing recovery from surgery
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear of his recovery. These are hard times, aren't they? We have to be so strong for them and I pray for both of you, for strength and help and, yes, laughter. A little laughter each day is great (although not so great right after surgery when everything is so sore). Keep visiting, Gill. I will always have time for you.

Here's your translation, courtesy of google: "My first language is English, but seeing that I am now living in Panama, I'll respond in Spanish. I am grateful for the health of my family and also for your generosity with this award. Thank you!" You are welcome. Come by any time and stay for a little something from the kitchen and a chat. ReplyDeleteHi Charlene - Applique' is my favorite thing, no doubt about it. Glad you are helping those furry critters. I'll send you the free pattern in a minute. So true about Heavenly Father and our limits; the other side of it is the strength we can gain from every adversity. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI am a new follower. I am thankful for my mother-in-law. She is the one that introduced me to quilting and it has brought me so much pleasure! She doesn't do as much quilting as she used to but she always helps me. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi Tami: I'm so glad you have a wonderful mother-in-law. I've had two wonderful ones, myself. One of them quilted, too. I never thought I would quilt, but, gradually, time opened for it and here I am. It's a long learning curve, too, which keeps my mind busy and my hands moving. Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas to you and your family, too. Thank you for visiting. Come back often and we can chat.
DeleteWhat a lovely pattern! I have enjoyed your blog and am a new follower! Grateful for my happy and healthy family! Thank you!

I have always wanted to see the Ozarks and wonder if I ever will. Maybe someday soon. It's got to be really beautiful. Thanks for loving Sunbonnet Sue and Sam. Aren't they just the most fun? I used to subscribe to the SunbonnetSue.com list; did you? I've kind of lost track of them but those ladies really were the ones that helped me the most when I first started out drawing Sue. Stop by often and we'll chat.

ReplyDeleteI am thankful for every day I wake and share with the love of my life. Lately we have had many ups and downs with his health and so many times I just pray for that pill that will make him well again.. but until that pill is discovered we will take one day at a time and be thankful that we have those.
ReplyDeleteI hope the best pills come your way soon. Health challenges loom large in all our lives and we pray and experiment and hope and work to try to have cures and helps. It's a great mountain in all our lives, especially when live-threatening obstacles bar our way. I pray things will work out for you and your husband, I really do. Stop by and chat when you can. Thanks for coming over and following.
DeleteI am thankful to be retired now so I can spend more time with my husband and to quilt more especially during football season. Thanks. New quilter from Oklahoma, USA. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
ReplyDeleteHi Debra - Thank you for stopping by. Isn't it wonderful to have some time to do something you really enjoy? Since I retired, I'm doing so much I enjoy, I'm a little worn out! But it's a good tired. Stop by again when you can. We love to hear from you.
DeleteI am thankful for my little family. It may not have ended up the way I pictured, but we are happy all the same.
ReplyDeleteWe can all say that, can't we? Looking back, our expectations are different, to one degree or another, from our results. But we change and, hopefully, mature. Our families are our lives in such a huge way. Where else can we learn better how to negotiate this life (or, in some cases, how not to negotiate life - my family was a little that way)? Come by and visit when you can. We love to hear from you.
DeleteI am following via GFC
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my family. I love your horse drawn sled. Thank you for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I adore horses. They were the first things I ever drew when I was small. I have ridden or owned or drawn horses all my life. Wouldn't it be wonderful to actually ride in a one-horse-open-sleigh? I did that once when I was a child. Never forget it. Okay, it wasn't one horse and not a sleigh; it was actually two huge Belgian mares and it was a hay sled; but it was awesome. Stop by and chat often, can you? We love visitors at Prairie Cottage Corner.
DeleteI follow your blog with feedly.
ReplyDeleteThankful for health, family and friends.
ReplyDeleteThose are the best things in life, aren't they? What would we do without them? Life would be hard and lonely...and it is that for many. We have to try to do something each day, each week, each month for someone who lacks one of those: health, family or friends......just have to. So many burdens, so little time. Sometimes it's only a smile; sometimes money; sometimes TIME.....every little bit helps. Thank you for stopping by. We love visits here.
DeleteI am a new follower and am very thankful this season of thanks for a warm loving family and the means to support them.
ReplyDeleteI pray you will always have the means to support them. Thanks for visiting and come back again often.
