Please write and tell me your favorite celebration-type food (anniversary or birthday). As women, we usually wind up MAKING the food for the celebration, don't we? But when we get treated, what is our favorite thing? My DH would say, prime rib, a baker and pie for dessert. I'm as apt to say, TOFU!!!! But, then, I'm different. What's YOUR favorite?

Happy Stitching! Prairie Stitcher
My vote is for Prime Rib also but I want good mashed potatoes and gravy to go with. For dessert, my choice would be 'Creme Brulee',yum!

Sounds great, Sherri. I have to admit I love it when my DH does the prime rib for Christmas. I LOVE his way of preparing it.
ReplyDeleteFor my anniversary and birthday I like lobster and then cheesecake for dessert. Good fresh lobster is hard to come by out here. I guess I have to have it shipped from Jersey. LOL
ReplyDeleteI could get it from Seattle or Alaska...haven't done that yet. Lovely thought, that. I love lobster. Once, while visiting WA DC, many years ago, I had Lobster Bisque in a very fancy restaurant. Oh so nice. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteChicken and Dumplings over Mashed Potatoes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following Harvest Lane Cottage.
I'm now following you.
Hi Laura: You know, I haven't made chicken and dumplings for years! It sounds really good, doesn't it? Thanks for following. We cottage dwellers have got to stick together!
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite food for anytime is Puffy Tacos, second place would be pot roast....grin.
ReplyDeleteHi BillieBee - I learned to make flour tortillas this summer....finally. Well, I saw the recipe on Prairie Flower Farm and tried it and liked it. I'll post it here soon and do a little tutorial on making them. How does one make them puffy? Are those corn or flour tortillas for the puffy taco? Thanks for stopping by. Yum...pot roast....good old Chuck.....
